Managing Your Library Account Online

Did You Know?

You can manage many aspects of your library account through our Coastline Libraries system.

Sign into your library account here with your library card barcode and password.

Password Not Working?

Library staff can reset your password during library hours. Please contact the circulation desk.

Borrowing Limits & Lengths

You can have up to 50 items checked out on one card at any one time.

Most circulating material may be borrowed by cardholders for either 7 days or 3 weeks, depending on format. Special collections may have other borrowing limits and times. Digital platform downloads have varying checkout periods.

Due dates are available through a receipt at the time of checkout or by logging into your online account with your 14-digit library card barcode (no spaces) and password. For assistance, please call (541) 269-1101 during regular hours.

Holds

You can place holds on items that are checked out or on order!

  • Up to 25 holds per card
  • Items held for 9 days before hold is cancelled
  • Must present library card
  • Pick up at self-service hold area just inside the library’s front doors.

Renewals

Library materials automatically renew up to two times as long as there are no holds on the material. Digital materials may differ.

Returns

When you are done with your materials, you may return them to any participating Coastline Library location. Coos Bay Public Library book returns are located inside at the front circulation desk and outside to the left of the front doors.

Fines

Coos Bay Public Library does not charge late fees for materials. Fines created an unnecessary barrier to library use, particularly to those already facing financial challenges. The risk of overdue fines led some people to borrow fewer items or not use the library at all. Items kept more than 63 days after their due date are considered lost and will be billed for replacement. Fees may also be assessed for damaged materials.
